A Summary of the Proceedings of the Lyon County Board

9:00 a.m. pursuant to notice the Lyon County Commissioners met with the following members present: Commissioners Anderson, Sanow, Graupmann and Ritter. Commissioner Stensrud was absent. Also present: Administrator Stomberg and Attorney Maes. MSP to approve the agenda with the addition of adding a thank you for Sandy Ludemann for his years of service on the P&Z Board.

MSP to approve the consent agenda. MSP to approve the 2017 tobacco license renewal for Benson’s By The Lake.

MSP to approve the 2017 tobacco license renewal for Brad’s Market, Inc.

MSP to approve the 2017 tobacco license renewal for Dalager’s Grocery & Gas.

MSP to approve the 2017 tobacco license renewal for Farmers Coop Association Ghent

MSP to approve the 2017 tobacco license renewal for Farmers Coop Association Minneota.

MSP to approve the 2017 tobacco license renewal for Pete’s Garage.

MSP to approve the 2017 tobacco license renewal for Valley Discount Liquor. Commissioners Anderson, Graupmann and Sanow voted in favor, Commissioner Ritter abstained due to a conflict of interest.

MSP to approve the 2017 liquor license renewal for Fedde’s Repair.

MSP to approve the 2017 liquor license renewal for Cottonwood Country Club.

MSP to approve the 2017 liquor license renewal for Saratoga Archery Club.

MSP to approve the 2017 liquor license renewal for Valley Enterprises of Fairview, Inc. Commissioners Anderson, Graupmann and Sanow voted in favor, Commissioner Ritter abstained due to a conflict of interest.

MSP to approve the 2017 tobacco license renewal for Balaton Municipal Liquor Store.

MSP to approve the $3,000 advance of appropriation to the Ag Society to come from the reserves.

MSP to approve the $40,000 appropriation for 2017 to the Ag Society.

MSP to approve the agreement from Burns & McDonnell for professional services for the maximum amount of $119,500 for 2017.

MSP to approve the septic loan subordination agreement with First Independent Bank.

MSP to approve the Conditional Use Permit for ADM to construct a water well project utilizing water from the Redwood River with the conditions approved by the Planning Commission.

MSP to approve the Recorder’s Compliance Fund Expenditures for 2016 of $88,452.97.

MSP to adopt the Federal Award Procurement Standards policy with an effective date of January 1, 2017.

MSP to approve the replacement of an Accountant II position with a Technical Assistant III position in the Auditor Treasurer Department.

MSP to set the 2017 County Board meeting dates as presented.

MSP to leave the Commissioner salary at $18,150, raise the Board Misc. pay to $250 per month and leave the per diems the same as 2016.

MSP to approve the 2017 levy of $14,318,823.00 with an increase of 1.534%.

MSP to thank Sandy Ludemann for his years of service on the P&Z Board.

MSP to enter into closed session at 10:40 a.m.

MSP to come out of closed session at 11:08 a.m.

MSP to approve the 2017 salary for the County Attorney at $121,888.00.

MSP to approve the 2017 salary for the County Sheriff at $108,820.00.

MSP to enter into closed session at 11:10 a.m. to discuss Attorney Client pending litigation on a CUP.
