Crime and Accidents for July 3

BALATON — A 19-year-old male was cited for underage drinking and driving at 10:40 p.m. Sunday on the 300 block of Seventh Street, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

MARSHALL — A 32-year-old male was cited for no Minnesota driver’s license in an incident reported at 9:22 a.m. Sunday on the 1200 block of East College Drive, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL — Parties were separated in a domestic incident reported at 10:45 p.m. Sunday on the 100 block of South 4th Street, Marshall Police said.

MINNEOTA — A suspicious incident was reported at 8:50 p.m. Sunday on the 500 block of North Jackson Street, Minneota Police said. No further information was available.

Accidents

REDWOOD COUNTY — Two people were injured in a vehicle-deer crash reported at 7:01 p.m. Friday on Crown Avenue in Springdale Township, the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office said. A 2004 Jeep driven by Miranda Spanovich was traveling south on Crown Avenue when a deer jumped into the path of the vehicle, the sheriff’s department said. The deer struck the vehicle on the front passenger side windshield, causing severe damage to the vehicle, the sheriff’s department said. Spanovich and a 17-year-old passenger were transported by the Walnut Grove Ambulance to the Tracy hospital with minor injuries, the sheriff’s department said.
