Marshall man injured in Tuesday crash

LYON COUNTY — A Marshall man was injured in a one-vehicle crash reported east of Marshall on Tuesday afternoon.

Liban Maow, 22, of Marshall, was taken to Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center with believed non life-threatening injuries, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 2:43 p.m., on Minnesota Highway 19 in Clifton Township, the State Patrol said. A 2007 Chevrolet Impala driven by Maow was traveling east on Highway 19, when Maow lost control of the vehicle on a curve and went into the ditch, striking an embankment and a tree, the State Patrol said. Maow was taken to the hospital via ambulance.

Conditions on the road were snowy or icy at the time of the crash, the State Patrol said.
