MARSHALL — Daniel Martinez, 39, pleaded not guilty in Lyon County District Court May 16 to charges of predatory offender – failure to notify of change of address, court records said. A complaint alleges Martinez failed to notify law enforcement of a change of address in Marshall in October. A pre-trial hearing was set for Aug. 8, and a trial date was set for Aug. 14.
MARSHALL — Norma Judith Cervantes Torres, 42, of Marshall, pleaded not guilty in Lyon County District Court May 16 to charges of aggravated forgery, theft by false representation, and identity theft, court records said. A complaint alleges Cervantes Torres used another person’s identity to obtain medical treatment in Marshall in 2015. A pre-trial hearing was set for Aug. 22, and a trial date was set for Aug. 31, with a date certain of Sept. 1.
MARSHALL — Lloyd Andrew Bronstad, 53, of Tracy, pleaded not guilty in Lyon County District Court May 16 to charges of fifth degree controlled substance crime, giving a false name and date of birth to a peace officer, driving after cancellation – inimical to public safety and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records said. A complaint alleges Bronstad possessed drugs and drove with a canceled license in Marshall on March 9. A pre-trial hearing was set for Aug. 22, and a trial date was set for Aug. 31, with a date certain of Sept. 1.
MARSHALL — Micah Lee Ward, 27, of Waterloo, Iowa, appeared in Lyon County District Court May 16 on charges of second degree assault, two counts of domestic assault, domestic assault by strangulation, two counts of fifth degree assault, and making threats of violence. A complaint alleges Ward assaulted a person in Marshall on April 5. The court found probable cause for the charges. A pre-trial hearing was set for June 27, and a trial date was set for July 5.
MARSHALL — Say Say, 40, of Willmar, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court May 16 to charges of driving after cancellation – inimical to public safety, court records said. Say drove with a canceled license in Marshall on April 15, court records said. Say received a stayed sentence of one year in jail and two years probation with conditions including complete 50 hours of community service work, and pay a $400 fine. Additional charges of failure to provide proof of insurance were dismissed.
MARSHALL — Charlie Joseph Louwagie, 25, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court May 16 on four counts of fifth degree controlled substance crime, illegal possession of prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia charges. A complaint alleges Louwagie possessed drugs in Lyon County on May 2. A hearing was set for June 13.
MARSHALL — Seth Mathew Livingston, 19, of Tracy, appeared in Lyon County District Court May 16 on charges of reckless discharge of a firearm, two counts of first degree criminal property damage, fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle and possession of an uncased firearm in a motor vehicle. A complaint alleges Livingston shot at and damaged a vehicle in Cottonwood on May 5. A hearing was set for June 13.
MARSHALL — Raymond Michael Alu, 36, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court May 16 on two counts of domestic assault, disorderly conduct, and possession of a hypodermic needle charges. A complaint alleges Alu assaulted a person in Marshall on April 18. The court found probable cause for the charges. A pre-trial hearing was set for May 30, and a trial date was set for June 8.
