Cole Anthony Louwagie is the first baby born in 2019 at Avera Marshall, making his grand entrance Jan. 3. His parents are Kristen and Derek Louwagie of Cottonwood. Cole and his parents left for home Friday where they were greeted by siblings, Will, 6, Lila, 4, and Dashel, 17 months. “The kids are excited,” said Kristen Louwagie. “They’ll be little helpers.” Louwagie will have 12 weeks at home with her now four children before returning to work as a registered nurse in the surgery center at Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center. Cole measured 21 inches and was 8 pounds, 1 ounce, at birth, which was two days before his due date.
