Harvell hearing delayed

MARSHALL — A hearing scheduled for a woman charged in connection with a June crash that injured three motorcyclists has been postponed again, court records said.

A plea hearing for Tamara Lee Harvell that was scheduled for Monday, was rescheduled for Feb. 20.

Harvell was charged with four counts of felony criminal vehicular operation, two counts of gross misdemeanor criminal vehicular operation and driving under the influence charges, after a multi-vehicle crash near the intersection of Minnesota Highway 23 and East College Drive in Marshall.

A criminal complaint said three motorcyclists were injured when they were struck by Harvell’s vehicle. One biker lost a leg in the crash, while a second had injuries requiring multiple surgeries.

Earlier this month, a request was filed in Lyon County District Court to continue the hearing to a later date. Harvell requested the continuance to allow time to care for her husband after he underwent surgeries, court documents said.
