December hearing date set for WG police chief case
MARSHALL — A plea hearing date has been set for the Walnut Grove police chief accused of soliciting sex with a minor, Redwood County court records said.
Court documents setting a December hearing date were filed on Nov. 16, one week after a judge denied a motion to dismiss the charges against Michael Robert Zeug, of Walnut Grove. Zeug, 45, is charged with hiring or agreeing to hire a minor for prostitution. He was one of three men arrested after a sex trafficking and prostitution sting conducted in Redwood County in June.
Zeug was suspended as chief of Walnut Grove Police after his arrest.
A plea hearing for Zeug was set for Dec. 28, in the Blue Earth County District Court in Mankato.
