Holiday Bacchanal at SMSU

Southwest Minnesota State University music professor John Ginocchio strummed a dulcaina, Dean of Arts and Letters Jan Loft drummed on a garbage can, art professor Alma Hale rattled a special ash tray that he uses to mix paint in and theater professor emeritus Ray Oster provided sweet sounds on his saxophone during the annual Holiday Bacchanal which took place at noon Thursday in the Fine Arts lobby. Faculty, staff and students took part in the motley gathering playing Christmas music with instruments such as a slide whistle, kazoo and an out of tune piano. President Connie Gores brought her jar of (old) brown and gold M&Ms to shake before switching to an autoharp.
