Lienemann out at Lakeview
The Lakeview Public School District, “after receiving allegations against an employee, placed Phil Lienemann on administrative leave for an unspecified amount of time while the district began investigating the matter,” Lakeview Superintendent Chris Fenske said in an email in response to questions from the Independent on Thursday.
Fenske also said that during the investigation, Lienemann tendered his resignation, which was accepted by the Lakeview Board of Education at its April 18 meeting.
“Mr. Lienemann is no longer an employee of the Lakeview Public School District,” Fenske said.
Lienemann was principal at Lakeview. Jason Myhre has been hired as an interim principal and will serve in that capacity for the remainder of the school year, Fenske said.
Fenske did not divulge what the allegations brought against Lienemann entailed.
Fenske said that contrary to rumor, no one was ever escorted from the Lakeview campus.
The district has begun advertising for the vacant principal position and will be accepting applications until May 9, Fenske said. He said the goal is to have the new principal hired by July 1.
