Hoffman & Brobst promotes three employees

Hoffman & Brobst announces the promotion of Tamara Deutz to the position of manager. As a manager, Deutz will continue to be responsible for client engagements, and in addition will take on additional responsibilities related to firm management and growth.

Deutz has been with the firm since 2011. She is a graduate of Dakota State University and attained her CPA certificate in 2013. She has been involved with all facets of the firm’s services including auditing, income tax planning and preparation, and all other accounting services. Her responsibilities will include continued development of our income tax, accounting and audit practice as well as the development of our accounting staff and quality control aspects of the firm. Her outside interests and involvement includes the Marshall Chamber of Commerce’s Marshall Area Young Professionals and Women’s Connect groups, United Way campaign ambassador and involvement in the family farm operation.

Amanda Tykwinski has been promoted to the position of senior accountant. As a senior accountant, Tykwinski will continue to be responsible for client engagements, and in addition will take on additional responsibilities related to staff supervision.

Tykwinski has been with the firm since 2014. She is a graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University and attained her CPA certificate in 2013. Her professional career has involved many aspects of public accounting, with a strong focus in audit. She will continue to lead the firm in the audit arena; she will also take on additional responsibilities with the quality control area of our practice. Her outside interests and involvement includes Junior Achievement, Lyon County Heart to Heart and Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce’s Marshall Area Young Professionals and Women’s Connect groups.

Tonya Duscher has advanced to the position of an in-charge accountant. As an in-charge accountant, Duscher will continue to be responsible for the direction of audit engagements.

Duscher has been with the firm since 2010.  She is a graduate of St. Cloud State University. Her professional career has been primarily involved with auditing. She will continue to direct audit engagements and provide supervision of staff accountants on such engagements. Her outside interests include civic involvements and other family activities.
