Friends and benefactors of the university are invited to attend. Social hour is at 5:30 p.m., and dinner and program begin at 6:30 p.m.

Speakers will include:

“The relationships are what I remember so fondly,” said Danahar, who is the interim provost at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. “I have a positive view about my time at SMSU and the connections we made at the university, and the region.”

McCourt looks forward to the gathering of SMSU friends.

“SMSU gave me a start on my academic life, and set me on a path to earning an additional degree. It was affordable — I was able to graduate without a lot of debt — and the education was very personalized. It allowed me the opportunity to know the professors and work with them,” she said.

Tickets are $25 per person and pre-registration is required. Tickets may be purchased at www.SMSU.edu/50, or call the SMSU Foundation at 507-537-6266.
